The Home Page Manager allows you to design a custom home page with a variety of features you can turn on/off.

ALERT

Alert appears under the header as a bright red banner with white text. You can use it to post timely messages to your customers like 'closed for the holiday' or 'order before the 19th to get it for Christmas'. 

HERO

A hero image expands to fit the background regardless of size. Combine that with some text that shrinks to size and you have a nice responsive banner ad. 

SLIDER

Create a gallery and then select it from the dropdown. The slider will expand to full width. If you set the page to full width the slider will expand to fill it.

• Alt Image 1: Replaces slide show at sizes 480px - 787px (optional). Suggested image size 800px wide x 400px high.
• Alt Image 1 Link: Enter a link if you wish to make the image clickable to a page located on your website.

• Alt Image 2: Replaces slide show under 480px (optional). Suggested image size 480px wide x 480px high.

TIP

The Hero and Slider will expand to full width. If you want them to fill the screen, you need to set the Page parameter to 'fullwidthpage=1'. So go to admin > Site Design > Pages, Edit 1 and add 'fullwidthpage=1' to the parameters. 

CUSTOM TEXT BLOCKS

This allows you to add your own images and text anywhere on the page. 

TOP CATEGORIES

• Display: Set to yes if you wish to display categories on your home page.
• Colums: Set number of columns to put categories in.
• Category Title (optional): Will display as header above the categories.
• Choose from All Categories: Do you just want the top categories or do you want to choose from sub-categories as well. If you change this you have to save the page to see the changes.
• Choose Cats: Check the categories you want to show.
• Style: Set the style of display, Box, to contain each category within a box, Fixed height for uniform height or default to display in the standard default format.
• Priority: Where on the page to you want these to show.
   

PRODUCT CAROUSEL

• Display - Set to display product carousel
• Title - Title at top of Product Carousel
• Selectors - Choose NEW, SALE, HOT, or add a category_ID. NOTE: If you specify a category_ID AND another selector, you'll only get that selector IN that category. You can only specify one category_id at a time.

PRODUCT MASONRY

Allows you show products similar to the categories. You can show products like a category, masonry style ( like Pinterest ), or on infinite scroll which is masonry style but it loads more when you hit the bottom of the page.

• 1st Box (optional): This creates a custom text box for the first box. It's a great way to introduce the products. 
• Priority: Where on the page to you want these to show.

BLOG POSTS

• Display - Set to display blog posts on the home page.
• Title - title above blog posts on home page.
• Columns - Set number of columns. Set between 3-5.

MASONRY GALLERY

Show another gallery in masonry format (like Pinterest).
